The magnificent Baja California peninsula is divided into the two states of Baja California and Baja California Sur - north and south. It includes the resort areas of Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, La Paz, Loreto, Rosarito, San Felipe, San Jose Del Cabo, and Buena Vista - to name a few of the larger ones.

No vaccinations are required to enter Mexico. GeographyLos Cabos is at the lowest end of the Baja Peninsula. It is an area of beautiful beaches, high mountains La Laguna, and desert plains. It is in tropical latitudes between the Tropic of Cancer and Latitude 22. The unique ecology of the area is constantly revealing new areas of interest and study. Driving in Los CabosTourist with a valid driver´s license in their country may drive legally in Los Cabos. Foreign insurance is not valid in Mexico. Tourists MUST get Mexican insurance before driving in Mexico. The roads are generally safe in the daylight hours, but night driving should be avoided. The roads are heavily traveled by cattle and all manner of other animals. This makes them dangerous to travel at night.
Be prepared. Much of the Los Cabos area is remote and although he roads are constantly patrolled by the Green Angels who will help with gas and very minor repairs, you can avoid many problems by driving automobiles in good condition, with plenty of gas, and you must always carry plenty of water. BeachesMany say there are no bad beaches in Los Cabos, and there are plenty. However, many are beautiful and a joy to visit, but not safe for swimming. It is always a good idea to check with people in the area before you jump in.
Nude sunbathing? In a word, NO. Nude sunbathing is not legal in Baja Sur. Drinking waterThe water supple of Los Cabos is pure, but the distribution methods can sometimes lead to contamination. It is recommended that visitors drink purified bottled water.
