Los Cabos (The Capes) is one of Mexico’s most beautiful and exclusive destinations. It lies on the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula, 220 kilometers (136 miles) south of La Paz. The climate is warm throughout most of the year, with an average temperature of 26º C (79º F).

 Los Cabos is located on the southern tip of the state of Baja California, is a place surrounded by contrasting scenarios: on the one side lies the arid desert and the other is reborn with its beautiful beaches and turquoise waters.

In this place was once coveted by conquerors and pirates, later evolved from being a simple shelter for fishermen and mariners, became one of the most important tourist destinations in the world.

A 33-kilometer highway, called the Corredor Turistico, stretches from San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas. Along the highway, you’ll find world-class hotels with top-notch restaurants, which have been known to lure a fair share of celebrities. In Los Cabos presents "Mexico for the World"

The architectural design of the Cultural Pavilion of Los Cabos called, "Mexico for the World," which will be part of the events of the Bicentennial of Independence and the centenary of the Revolution next year, 2010, were presented to the people.

Gov. Narciso Agundez Montano and the coordinator of the commemorations of 2010, Rafael Tovar y de Teresa, unveiled the first of 11 projects to build the pavilion, at a cost of the marina of Cabo San Lucas.El governor said that the Serrano release Mojarás Architects was chosen by the technical body for the overall coordination of the project, which in its proposal contemplates the Museum of Biodiversity, theater and art center.

He explained that the project has a cost of 300 million pesos for its construction and complete it looks completely by August 2010, and inaugurated as part of the celebrations of the bicentenary.

Agundez Montano said that Los Cabos receives 3.5 million tourists a year and 5 of them arrive via cruise ship, which guarantees a success for the flag to be located in the marina of Cabo San Lucas.

"This project is the contribution of Baja California Sur to the celebrations of our history, biodiversity will be shown here in the state, as well as the best of national art," explained the state.
