Festivals and traditions in CaboIn San Jose del Cabo, you can celebrate the town’s Patron Saint day with the locals on March 19. The festivities include a fair, dancing and fireworks. In the nearby town of Todos Santos on Oct. 12, you can witness the celebration of the Virgin of Pilar, an annual event of music and dance.

 There are several festivals or special days during the whole year, but the main festival is celebrated on 8 th September in honor of the Virgin "de Cabo", who is the patroness of the village. Everybody from Villafrechós takes part in its celebration, where several friend gatherings give life to the feast during day and night and take part in the penning of bulls and in the release of young bulls.

Celebrating the seasons is a popular local tradition, particularly at New Year's and the end of winter. Off-road auto races, whale watching festivals and Holy Week events provide opportunities to witness special traditions.

 Some of the most important celebrations are: the Virgin of Guadalupe Celebration on December 12, and the Cabo San Lucas Festival (Festival of the Patron Saint) on October 18. Each of Mexico’s cities has patron saints that guide and protect the people of the city.

Festival of La Virgen de la Piedad on 8th - 11th September; a large number of people accompany the image of the Virgen on the route through the streets, carrying large candles as a reminder of when religious promises were kept by burning kilos of wax, with some people going so far as to offer their weight in it.

LeLoLai is in high demand with visitors.The Lelolai Festival is a fabulous program exposing visitors to typical Puerto Rican music and dance in authentic settings.

Every year, Cabo Rojo celebrates its patron saint festival (fiestas patronales) in honor of the town's patron saint, San Miguel Arcángel.

Puerto Rico’s most grueling triathlon features a 1.8 kilometer swim, 40 mile bike ride, and 10 mile run.

Whale Watching Season on Oct - April; a great spectacular views of whales just offshore abound from October through April. Of the world's eleven species of whales, eight come to Los Cabos to breed and nurse their young.

A three day festival with local music, kitchen artifacts and decorations from the past (40's-70's). Bands from around the Island, domino games, local artisans and food kiosks.
