Diving is good year-round in the Capes, but the best months are March-August. Visibility is good usually up to 100 feet and the water temperature ranges between 75-80 degrees Fahrenheit during this time. Cabo PulmoThis is the only living coral reef on the western side of North America and it is rich in a wide variety of tropical marine life that begins in shallow water a few feet from shore. A large system of volcanic reefs offers exciting dives for beginners to advanced and a is a real treat for snorkelers. Visitors to Cabo Pulmo are treated to a grand vista of unspoiled sandy beaches as well as the great beauty that lies under water. Gordo BanksGordo Banks is eight miles off the coast of San Jose del Cabo. The top of this seamount lies 110' to 130' deep. You will see plenty of action from the first few feet of water. There are whirlpools of jacks, scores of schooling hammerhead sharks, solitary bull sharks, manta rays, and even huge whale sharks are encountered by fortunate divers.
